Experience California Wine Country on a fun-filled day in the picturesque rolling hills of the Alexander Valley. First, you'll bike along country roads, stopping for wine tastings and enjoying a delicious picnic lunch. Then, hop in a kayak and paddle down the scenic Russian River. The adventure takes place in Alexander Valley, an award-winning region known for its cabernet sauvignon and merlot.

Meet your guide at Ragle Park in Sonoma County, where you will be outfitted with a bike and gear and taught the rules of the road by your professional guide. Then you'll head out into Wine Country, cycling through 7 miles (11 km) of easy terrain at a leisurely pace. As you pedal, your guide will point out local landmarks and explain the history of the wine region.

You will visit two to three wineries for a tasting of fine wines, and stop for a picnic lunch of fresh salad, bread, cheese, seasonal fruits and dessert. After lunch, you may even have time for a game of bocce ball!

Then, you'll hop in your kayak and paddle down the Russian River. Along the scenic river route, keep an eye out for native wildlife and hold on when you kayak through some small rapids.

Ride off-road and literally through the vineyards on this one-of-a-kind Napa Valley tour. On this tour, you’ll venture to the Carneros AVA, a region that is as famous for its picture postcard views as it is for its milder-climate varietals such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. With a casual biking pace and frequent stops, the emphasis is on enjoying the scenery and learning about the vineyard growth cycle in an immersive way. The off-road vineyard routes you'll get to ride are most definitely not open to the public, making this tour an absolutely unique adventure that is not to be missed!

Meet your bike tour guide and other guests (limited to a max of 10) at Bouchaine Vineyards, where you will be outfitted with your mountain bike and helmet. After a safety briefing and orientation, you'll set off for a tour through the vineyards.

At each winery, your guide introduces you to your tasting room host, who leads a guided tasting of the flight of wines. Learn about the wine-making philosophies and practices of each winery during your tasting, which generally lasts about an hour.

Expect to bike for about 2 to 4 miles (3 to 6km) to the first winery, a similar distance to the second winery, and another few miles to return at the end of your ride. There is plenty time along each biking segment to soak in the scenery and take photos. In total, the total amount of riding is less than 10 miles; the terrain is mostly flat along a mix of about 70% quiet country roads and 30% off-road riding through the vineyards.

Most of the off-road riding is on wide dirt roads between blocks of vineyards, so rest assured you don’t need to be an experienced mountain biker by any stretch; however, off-road riding is inherently bumpy compared to riding on paved roads, so this tour is best suited for reasonably confident bike riders.

At the end of 4.5 hours, return to your starting point at Bouchaine Vineyards to conclude your tour in the early afternoon.

Your tour group –  limited to 10 guests – will meet at 9:30am in the heart of Downtown Napa, where our team will outfit you on one of our super comfortable ( and might we say, snazzy?Pedego Electric Bikes and introduce you the various options you’ll have to add a motorized boost to your ride.

Pedaling is optional if you choose to cruise in throttle mode, though we find most guests enjoy doing some pedaling aided by the motor for a more natural biking feel, or what’s called pedal assist mode. Either way, in no time you’ll be ready to roll, led by one of our knowledgeable local Tour Guides.

In a few short miles, the Downtown setting will give way to vineyard views as you escape to the Carneros District, one of only a few places in Napa Valley that can still be considered off-the-beaten path. You’ll ride along quiet country roads with less traffic and more sweeping vineyards views that will remind you to enjoy living in the present moment.

This tour is specifically designed to showcase the astonishing capabilities of our Pedego electric bikes. The distance between stops is a little longer and we’ll cruise along more rolling terrain precisely because your Pedego eBike makes it all “No Sweat”even for the most casual of riders.

If you’ve never ridden an eBike, we can’t wait for you to try one on this tour!

We’ll visit two wineries* for tastings before the guided portion of the tour concludes back at our Downtown Napa around 2:00pm. But the fun doesn’t have to end there, because you’re welcome to keep your eBikes to explore on your own for the rest of the afternoon! *Tasting fees not included ($30-40 average)

This tour package includes $25 "Oxbucks" per person to spend at your choice of delicious vendors at Oxbow Public Market, just a half-mile from our shop. You’ll be able to put together your own mini-feast choosing from wood-fired pizzas, delectable oysters, burgers & milkshakes, locally brewed beer, artisan ice cream and much more. Grab a seat at a picnic table on Oxbow’s back patio overlooking the Napa River and enjoy a relaxed lunch in the afternoon breeze

After lunch, don’t be surprised when you have the itch to keep riding on your Pedego electric bike. Despite having covered close to 20 miles in the morning, both you and your Pedego will still have plenty of juice left in the tank! A favorite way our guests extend their ride is by following the Napa Valley Vine Trail (bike path) south of Downtown for a scenic cruise along the Napa Riverfront and through Kennedy Park for a total of 7 miles. Bikes must be returned to our shop by 6:00pm.
